Would the court split the kids apart because they have different mothers?

Scott Shurland joins the guys. Scott is a well known adoption lawyer and has something in common with Mike, they are both adopted. Scott and Mike discuss the nature of their adoption, their beliefs and desires regarding medical information from their birth parents and the burning question of “finding” their birth parents. The professor was along for the ride but, as usual, asked some hard hitting adoption questions.

A Ponzi scheme is a form of investment fraud. After inducing unwitting friends or family members to invest in a “sure thing,” the con man, or con woman, as the case may be, pays returns to the earlier investors from either their own money, or money paid by later investors, rather than from any actual profit earned.

Curt and Mike interview Assistant U.S. Attorney Nils R. Kessler who describes various Ponzi schemes that he has inv estigated over the years.

What happens when two jerks have a show down? The one with the taser wins! Curt and Mike discuss the 72-year-old granny who refused to “sign” for her speeding ticket as required by Texas law (as an angry police-officer-listener pointed out by email). The party ensues as granny gets out of the car and gets the royal brute force treatment from the State police.

The Honorable Mike Smolenski was a Court of Appeals judge from Michigan that was know to all as a gentleman, intellectual jurist and friend to the community. Judge Smolenski recently passed away due to a debilitating disease. His sister, the Honorable Sara Smolenski, judge of the 63^rd District Court, takes the live line to honor her brother
